The going is very mixed on all loops with grassy tracks, hard surface farm tracks, some chalky paths, woodland and the Droves which can be very muddy!
Class 5, which is advertised as an 80km CR, will follow the same route as the Veterans’ Challenge i.e. Pentridge loop (34.5km) followed by the Royal Oak Windwhistle 31km loop and finally the short Windwhistle loop of 12km – there will be 2 veterinary holds for this class this year = 78km.
Class 6 – 66km CR – will do the very popular Pentridge loop (34.5km) followed by the Royal Oak Windwhistle 31km loop.
Classes 7 and 8 – 52km CR – have no veterinary hold mid-way but will complete the 28km Royal Oak East Grovely loop, followed by the 24km Hadden Ebsbury loop, checking in at the venue with a steward after the first loop and being able to crew at the venue.
Classes 9 and 10 will do the Royal Oak East Grovely loop and follow this with the Windwhistle loop but, as for Classes 7 and 8 there is no mid-way hold, but an opportunity to crew back at the venue before completing the 12km second loop.
Classes 11 and 12 – advertised as a 33km CR – will total 31km in length ….. the Royal Oak Windwhistle loop.
Our Pleasure Ride (NCR Class 13) is the 24km Hadden Ebsbury loop.
